Organic Search is Primary Driver of Website Traffic
San Mateo-based BrightEdge, who builds an enterprise SEO platform, recently conducted a study in which “billions” of pieces of content were analyzed to determine the traffic source. The study finds that 51% of all visitors come from organic search, dwarfing traffic from other channels including paid search (10%) and social media (5%).
They also broke down the data by industry, where B2B sites selling business services saw the biggest lift from organic search traffic at a whopping 73%.
